Hogan Lovells advises AMG Group on hybrid energy storage project in Saudi Arabia
Led by Partner Dr. Tobias Faber and Counsel Kristina Laewen, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised the AMG Group with respect to the installation of a Hybrid Energy Storage System (Hybrid ESS) at Saudi Aramco’s Bulk Plant in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
The Hybrid ESS is an ecosystem combining Lithium-Ion and Vanadium Redox Flow batteries with artificial intelligence routines and self-learning algorithms to help increase efficiency, safety, reliability, and lifetime of the batteries. The Hybrid ESS will be integrated into an existing solar plant at Saudi Aramco’s facility in Tabuk. The Hybrid ESS aims at enhancing the energy storage capacity of the Tabuk Bulk Plant which is of structural importance for the region.
