Hogan Lovells advises Helsing on the restructuring into an SE holding company
Led by Hamburg partner Dr. Alexander Koch and senior associate Joy Baur, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Europe’s leading AI company for defence technology Helsing on the formation of a new SE holding company.
Headquartered in Munich and founded in 2021, Helsing develops solutions for the use of artificial intelligence in the defence sector. With the new holding structure in the legal form of an SE, Helsing underlines its European focus and reaffirms its clear commitment to Europe as a business location. At the same time, the SE structure provides the basis for efficient management of international activities and supports the company’s further growth and expansion plans in Europe.
Hogan Lovells advised Helsing on corporate and regulatory matters in relation to the restructuring. Hogan Lovells regularly supports its long-standing client Helsing across various legal areas and projects, most recently on the acquisition of Grob Aircraft SE.
A team led by Dr. Matthias Schatz and Dr. Benjamin Ullrich of YPOG advised Helsing in particular on corporate governance matters.
