Three Hogan Lovells lawyers named among Law360 Rising Stars

Washington, D.C., 23 July 2025 – Hogan Lovells lawyers Katie Wellington, Jalpit Amin, and Chrissy Reynolds have been named to Law360’s Rising Stars list, one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for lawyers under 40. The winners were selected from over 1,100 submissions, representing more than 80 law firms across 34 practice areas. Honorees were chosen based on their outstanding career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.

Katie Wellington, a partner in our Appellate & Supreme Court Litigation practice and Group Manager of Litigation for the Boston office, was named one of this year’s Rising Stars in the Appellate category. Katie recently won a 9-0 victory in the Supreme Court in Barnes v. Felix, a landmark Fourth Amendment case. She also recently argued her first Supreme Court case on behalf of Nestlé Purina, and has led major appellate wins for clients including Bristol Myers Squibb and Blue Cross of California. A former clerk to Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Katie has worked on 13 Supreme Court merits cases and argued 17 times in state and federal courts nationwide, distinguishing herself as one of the top young appellate litigators in the country.

Jalpit Amin, a partner in our M&A Group based in the Silicon Valley office, was named one of this year’s Rising Stars in the Technology category. Jalpit has played a leading role in transformative deals across the tech sector, including advising Autodesk on its acquisitions of Payapps and PIX and Oracle in its landmark US$28.3 billion acquisition of Cerner. He recently advised Applied Materials on its spinout and joint investment in Elevated Materials, and has been a trusted advisor to Synopsys on more than a dozen cross-border acquisitions, including its acquisition of WhiteHat Security for US$330 million. His work on Marvell Technology’s US$10 billion acquisition of Inphi highlights his ability to navigate complex, high-value transactions with precision. A standout in Silicon Valley’s robust tech M&A market, Jalpit combines deep industry knowledge with a collaborative, business-minded approach, making him a go-to advisor for many of the world’s leading tech companies.

Chrissy Reynolds, a counsel in our Government Contracts and Education practice, was named one of this year’s Rising Stars in the Government Contracts category. Chrissy advises clients on a broad range of government contracting issues and has rapidly built a national reputation for handling high-stakes, time-sensitive bid protests, including a recent win for KBR that reopened NASA’s US$1 billion contract award. In recent years, she successfully represented other clients like Tactical Air Support, InDyne, and The Providencia Group in GAO protests, helped a client lift a crippling administrative suspension, and was instrumental in negotiating the terms of several federal contracts for COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics. Chrissy brings sharp legal analysis, persuasive written advocacy, and deep regulatory insight to her work, advising clients ranging from major defense contractors to leading educational institutions. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, is a dedicated mentor to junior attorneys, and is overall a core member of Hogan Lovells’ award-winning Government Contracts team.
