In law school, Steve presented oral argument before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals as a student attorney with the Appellate Advocacy Practicum. He was also a finalist for the University of Colorado's Rothgerber Moot Court Competition and won best memo in the Anti-Defamation League's Summer Associate Research Program Memo Competition. He has previously worked as an extern with the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado and as a summer associate with a boutique healthcare law firm.
Before law school, Steve was a health policy analyst at a D.C. think-tank. While in D.C., he earned a Master of Public Policy degree from George Washington University.
