Carlos is an Associate in the Banking & Finance team in the firm’s Madrid office, where he leads the Financial Institutions practice. He is also a member of the firm’s ESG Board.
He advises a broad spectrum of financial institutions —including banks, payment service providers, e-money institutions, and investment firms— on complex corporate and regulatory matters, both in Spain and internationally. His expertise covers licensing procedures for regulated entities, structuring of cross-border frameworks, M&A transactions in the financial sector, financial product design and distribution, consumer protection, securities regulations, and anti-money laundering compliance.
Carlos works closely with a diverse range of leading players in the financial services industry, providing strategic guidance on regulatory and transactional matters. He is actively involved in helping clients adapt to market developments and regulatory change.

Advising one of the world’s largest retail banks on the launch of credit products for Spanish-based clients.
Advising on the sale and purchase of a specialised lending institution in the automotive sector.
Advising one of the top Luxembourg banks in the expansion of banking and credit services and partnerships in Spain.
