Carlos has over 30 years of experience in corporate and transactional law, with deep knowledge of M&A, insurance, infrastructure, energy, and regulatory compliance in Mexico.
He advises clients across industries on M&A transactions, post‑merger integration issues, complex regulatory matters, and contract negotiations; he is frequently engaged for holistic legal analysis and strategic solutions to complex legal issue. His practice is distinguished by a pragmatic and creative approach to solving sophisticated legal challenges.
Carlos has significant experience advising IOCs and NOCs in the energy sector on host government contracts and oil and gas transactions, as well as assisting companies in ventures and negotiations with government‑owned entities. In the insurance sector, he is known for his regulatory expertise, serving on insurance company boards and advises insurers, brokers, and syndicates.
Carlos also has substantial experience assisting companies navigate through compliance issues and crises, conducts internal investigations, and assists in the implementation of remedial actions on case of breaches.
