Miguel has over 15 years of experience in international trade, customs, and tax litigation. He advises multinational clients on customs valuation, import/export compliance, and trade remedy investigations, including antidumping and countervailing duty cases. His practice focuses on strategic defense before the Tax Administration Service (SAT), the Ministry of Economy, and the Federal Administrative Justice Court.
He also assists companies in securing and maintaining IMMEX/PROSEC certifications, VAT-IEPS registration, and customs compliance programs, and has extensive experience conducting trade-related due diligence in M&A and cross-border operations.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Miguel worked in leading international and Mexican law firms where he developed complex litigation and compliance strategies in high-stakes trade disputes.
