Johan represents many of the largest and most prominent lenders in the fund finance industry on structuring, negotiating, documenting and syndicating multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency subscription facilities, hybrid facilities, umbrella facilities, open-end fund facilities, HNW facilities, and other nontraditional facilities and asset-level lending arrangements. He regularly advises banks and other financial institutions on large and complex syndicated financings to funds managed by some of the world’s preeminent fund sponsors.

Johan is a regular contributor to Fund Finance Friday, Cadwalader’s weekly fund finance newsletter. Before joining Cadwalader, he served as a senior associate in the banking and finance practice at Bowmans, one of the largest law firms in Africa, bringing a broad cross-border perspective to his fund finance work.
