Freddie Doust is a senior associate in Hogan Lovells Restructuring & Special Situations team. He has experience advising on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency transactions and complex, event-driven transactions in the private capital industry, including complex multi-jurisdictional restructurings, restructuring plans, schemes of arrangement, distressed investing and contingency planning for banks, funds, sponsors, bondholder committees, corporates and insolvency office holders.
Representative experience
Advising an ad hoc group of junior bondholders in the on-going restructuring of Thames Water's capital structure.
Advising Brooge on the refinancing of its Nordic bonds with a new sukuk issuance and related matters.
Advising the ad hoc group of bondholders in the restructuring of Nitrogenmuvek's €200m senior notes.
Advising a credit fund in relation to a margin loan.
Advising Prax on the sale of its UK North Sea upstream oil and gas business to Serica.
Advising credit funds in the multijurisdictional enforcement of over US$150m of outstanding debt with Ukrainian port operator G.N. Terminals Enterprises.
Acted for Yunneng in connection with its restructuring via a UK restructuring plan*
Acted for the joint energy administrators of Bulb Energy in the first ever energy supply company administration*
Acted for the RCF lenders to KCA Deutag in connection its restructuring via an English scheme of arrangement*
Acted for Lehman Brothers International (Europe) in connection with the settlement of various significant liabilities flowing from the bank’s insolvency*
Acted (as lead London associate) for Lecta on its restructuring via an English scheme of arrangement, and its subsequent recapitalisation*
