AI-washing – when AI hype becomes a litigation risk
In the past few years there has been a proliferation of activity at the state level affecting food companies, including restrictions on per- and poly- fluorinated substances (PFAS) in packaging, bans on particular ingredients in foods that are authorized at the federal level, heavy metal testing & disclosure requirements, and a spate of new environmental and animal welfare laws.
