Close to three years after its start, the Unified Patent Court (UPC) has established itself as a key forum in the European patent litigation landscape. After initial caution and mainly observation from the sidelines, companies across the Life Sciences sector are now increasingly active at the UPC. Specifically, the UPC is now on the radar of pharma companies that make use of its powerful tools, including applications for the preservation of evidence and preliminary injunctions in launch scenarios.
