Now based in Amsterdam, Julian continues to support clients across sectors—technology, life sciences, financial services, and media—on operationalizing privacy compliance, managing cross-border data flows, and responding to regulatory scrutiny. His ability to translate legal requirements into actionable business strategies makes him a trusted advisor to in-house teams and senior stakeholders.
Through two secondments with global companies, Julian has further honed his practical, business-minded approach to counseling and compliance. During his time with a multinational professional services provider, he assessed privacy risks associated with deploying global internal cybersecurity protections. While at a large technology services company, he supported the implementation of an FTC consent order and developed a keen understanding of the day-to-day challenges posed by a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
Julian is qualified in Washington, D.C. and Brussels (B-List) and holds a CIPP/E certification. He regularly contributes to privacy thought leadership through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) where he is a member of the Education Advisory Board.
