Jacey represents a wide variety of corporate and individual clients, including companies in the pharmaceutical, automobile, apparel, entertainment, financial, and technology industries. Jacey regularly represents a wide variety of public and private companies facing shareholder litigation, including securities class actions under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, derivative suits, and M&A litigation. Jacey litigates in various federal and state courts, and represents her clients in all phases of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, trial, appeals, and settlement negotiations.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Jacey was an associate at an international law firm in New York, where she gained experience advising domestic and international institutions on matters related to shareholder derivative actions, contract disputes, Title VII class actions, and a variety of white-collar criminal charges including fraud, insider trading, theft of trade secrets, and violation of privacy laws. Jacey also served as a law clerk to the Honorable George B. Daniels in the Southern District of New York.
Obtained dismissal of ’34 Act class action alleging false statements about an auto parts provider’s strategic initiatives by the company and certain directors.
Secured settlement of class action against pharmaceutical firm alleging that the company made false and misleading statements about its financial condition.
Secured dismissal of federal class action lawsuit alleging deceptive marketing by food and beverage company.
Advised client throughout 13-year-long class action dispute, from discovery through eve of trial, ultimately securing favorable settlement against all claims.*
Defended financial institution against claims of engaging in fraudulent scheme concerning sale of RMBS deals and secured favorable settlement on behalf of client sued for bank fraud and misconduct.*
Secured victory for a company defending against claims of breach of contract in multiple rulings on summary judgment, interlocutory appeals, and procedural issues limiting the scope of trial.*
