Kelly Heesch is an associate in the Hogan Lovells International Trade practice, where she advises clients on export controls, sanctions, and trade remedies issues at the intersection of law, national security, and global operations. She helps companies navigate complex regulatory frameworks, manage compliance risk, and respond thoughtfully to government scrutiny, often in high‑stakes, fast‑moving situations.
Kelly brings a deeply operational perspective to her legal work. Prior to and during law school, she spent more than a decade supporting large‑scale defense and government programs, including managing multidisciplinary teams and translating complex technical and operational requirements into actionable plans. That experience informs her practical, solutions‑oriented approach and her ability to understand the pressures clients face beyond the legal analysis alone.
Kelly is particularly drawn to matters involving national security, export controls, and trade regulation because of their real‑world impact on institutions, supply chains, and people.
