He advises international clients in sectors such as technology, consumer goods, retail and digital services on compliance with EU product regulations and ESG-related legal obligations. His work covers product safety, conformity, labelling, recall procedures and regulatory reporting, as well as legal risk management linked to the introduction and circulation of products in the EU and other regulated markets.
Roberto also represents clients in dispute resolution proceedings, with a particular focus on product liability and cross-border commercial disputes. He provides support in pre-litigation and litigation contexts involving liability claims and contractual issues.
He further assists companies with investment strategies and internationalisation projects in African jurisdictions, advising on legal frameworks, regulatory requirements and public-private dynamics across sectors including energy, natural resources and consumer services.
Alongside his legal practice, Roberto is a faculty member at Bocconi University, where he teaches Business and Investment Law of African Countries, General Jurisprudence and Transnational Constitutional Law. He regularly speaks on legal and regulatory topics related to investment in sub-Saharan Africa and the continent’s integration process at conferences, expert panels and institutional workshops in Europe and internationally. As part of his academic and professional engagements, among the others, he is also guest lecturer in the International Program on Law and Development (IPLD) at UNIDROIT.
