Jill Kelley is a trusted legal advisor, known for guiding clients through complex regulatory environments and high-stakes commercial transactions across professional sports, gaming, media, and entertainment. With deep industry knowledge and a cross-sector approach, she is uniquely equipped to advise leagues, teams, gaming operators, sponsors, boards, and media companies on strategic legal matters. Jill is also a respected voice on issues shaping both women’s and men’s sports.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Jill served as General Counsel of the New York Jets, where she advised on media and technology rights, sponsorships, data privacy, intellectual property, and international expansion, playing a pivotal role in the club’s strategic initiatives across the NFL ecosystem and in global markets like the UK.

Previously, Jill was U.S. General Counsel of PointsBet, where she led legal strategy for U.S. operations, including licensing, market access, strategic partnerships, and commercial transactions. She also served as counsel to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino, advising on gaming, land use, tribal tax, and regulatory matters.

Jill has worked closely with state and tribal regulators across the United States and remains a trusted advisor in the evolving post-PASPA gaming landscape. She maintains strong ties with tribal legal and business communities.

Jill is a frequent guest speaker on matters related to women’s and men’s sports and gaming, including appearances at and features in the NFL Women’s Forum, the NFL League office, The Economist, Sports Lawyers Association, and National Intertribal Tax Alliance.

The New York Jets on several MetLife Stadium cornerstone partnerships, as well as gameday services and entertainment, ticketing, and food and beverage agreements.*

The New York Jets on several technology and network transactions, including the distributed antenna system network. *

The New York Jets on its United Kingdom expansion under the NFL’s international global markets program, including negotiating international licensing, media rights, and sponsorships. *

Oversaw the New York Jets’ intellectual property usage, including drafting licensing agreements for its internet, digital and social platforms and monitoring and enforcing team IP rights.*

Private family offices on various investment, foundation formation, and taxation matters.*

PointsBet Inc. on its initial public offering on the Australian Stock Exchange, including the management of U.S. investor relations and corporate governance.  *

PointsBet USA Inc. on the negotiation of a twenty-year agreement with Penn National Gaming Inc., securing a sports betting market access agreement across multiple states.*

Leading global resort casino on its technology agreements related to iGaming and its implementation of a technology infrastructure upgrade.*

A gaming anti-money laundering startup on various multi-year commercial transactions, including negotiations with several of the largest tribal casinos in North America.*

Commercial and tribal entities on federal tribal compliance under the IGRA with Native American casino partners, including the regulatory reporting to state gaming and revenue agencies. *

Resort casino legal advisory on its US$750m resort development project, including managing ground lease negotiations and project controls.*
