Niklas Knop

He assists clients in drafting and negotiating complex, often international contracts – especially in the areas of procurement, sales, distribution and transport, research and development, as well as leasing and SaaS. In addition, he represents his clients in enforcing and defending contractual claims.

A particular focus of his practice lies in advising on capital goods – including machinery and plant engineering as well as the defense industry. Having advised on numerous large-scale national and international projects, he possesses extensive industry knowledge. He also regularly coordinates cross-border projects, such as market entries into the EU, and in this context advises, among others, online marketplaces on the requirements of the Digital Services Act (DSA) as well as logistics providers and fulfilment service providers on regulatory issues.

During several secondments with international industrial companies, Niklas Knop advised on a wide range of in-house matters and played a key role in contract negotiations. He gained his first experience in distribution law during his legal traineeship with a leading global automobile manufacturer.
