Lila Gasca is the Pro Bono Director in our Mexico offices, where she has led the firm’s social impact and responsible business strategy for more than a decade. She joined Hogan Lovells in 2009 and is a recognized leader in pro bono and impact law in Latin America.

She is passionate about designing creative legal strategies that not only solve immediate problems but also drive systemic change. Her work keeps clients compliant, resilient, and better positioned to grow sustainably. Lila focuses on supporting civil society organizations, social enterprises, and triple-impact businesses, helping them identify and address their specific legal needs.

She has been a driving force behind Estándares Pro Bono México, the nationwide benchmark for pro bono practice. She also founded Anímate a Estudiar A.C., supporting students in vulnerable financial situations to continue their studies.

Lila serves as a Board Advisor to Make-A-Wish Mexico, Ashoka Mexico, and the Centro Mexicano Pro Bono; co-chairs the Latin America Board of the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers; and is a member of the TrustLaw Pro Bono Council.

She is recognized as a pioneer in Mexico for establishing the first dedicated pro bono practice in a law firm.
