Massimiliano Masnada

Massimiliano specialises in integrated compliance within the digitalisation sector, with a focus on European regulations such as the GDPR, NIS 2, DORA, the AI Act, the DGA, the Data Act and the EHDP. Over the years, Massimiliano has acquired specific expertise in advising major platforms and internet service providers (search engines, apps, video-sharing platforms, new media), connected cars, telemedicine, cloud computing, data analytics, data scientists and cross-border data transfers.  Massimiliano also has many years’ experience in IT litigation arising from the application of e-commerce and personal data protection legislation, both before administrative authorities and before the courts.

He is frequently invited by leading industry magazines and national newspapers to write articles and commentaries on topical issues relating to privacy and AI, as well as to speak at high-profile industry conferences and events. 

Massimiliano is regularly featured in leading Italian and international directories such as Chambers and Legal500, which rank him at the top of their lists. He was also named Privacy Lawyer of the Year by TopLegal in 2024 and by Legalcommunity in 2025 and 2016.
