Lorena is an attorney at Hogan Lovells’ Madrid office with experience in public law and regulated sectors. She has been involved in corporate transactions, contract negotiation, and project development in the energy sector, as well as in handling foreign investment authorizations. She also represents national and international clients in administrative and judicial proceedings before public authorities and courts.

Lorena advises on M&A transactions across various industries, providing support in due diligence processes from a regulatory, administrative, and environmental perspective.

With a particular focus on the energy sector, she has participated in the negotiation and drafting of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and guarantees of origin, as well as in the development and operation of electricity and hydrogen generation projects, including EPC and O&M contracts, electrification agreements, and collaboration arrangements.

She also advises clients on regulatory matters throughout the entire lifecycle of new energy projects, from securing grid access and connection, obtaining the necessary sector-specific permits, and analyzing economic regimes to ensuring compliance during the operational phase.

In addition, she has provided legal advice to a range of international clients (including multinational corporations and sovereign wealth funds) on obtaining foreign direct investment (FDI) authorizations in Spain.
