Bethany is an associate in the Hogan Lovells International Arbitration team, advising on high-value, complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes and arbitrations.  Bethany acts for States, State-owned entities and major multinational corporations with a particular focus on the energy, manufacturing and industrials sectors.  

Bethany has previously undertaken a commercial disputes and investigations secondment at a top FTSE 100 company in London.

Representative experience

Acting for Ukraine in an ICSID arbitration under a Bilateral Investment Treaty.

Acting for an international chemical company in a post M&A dispute in the High Court of England and Wales. 

Acting for a UK investor in an ICSID arbitration against Romania under the Energy Charter Treaty.

Acting for a multinational company in proceedings before the Dubai International Financial Centre Court arising out of a joint venture through which it conducts business in the Middle East.

Acting for Irish investors in an ICSID arbitration against the Federal Republic of Germany under the Energy Charter Treaty.

Acting for a state-owned bank in relation to multi-billion-dollar fraud claims against the bank's former shareholders in the High Court of England and Wales.

Advising a financial services company in a SIAC arbitration in connection with a contractual dispute.
