His clients include major global online platforms, streaming services and online retailers. They value his enthusiasm, clear communication, commercial mindset and in-depth knowledge of competition law, the Digital Services Act (DSA), the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the P2B Regulation and all aspects of unfair competition (UWG).
Phillipp Schmidt enforces his clients' claims with great diligence, both in and out of court. He also provides robust defence against warnings, preliminary injunctions and lawsuits. In the event of recurring challenges or mass litigation, he develops pan-European litigation strategies in collaboration with legal departments and coordinates their implementation with his European colleagues.
He also supports his clients in out-of-court escalation management and in-court small claims management. To this end, he utilises existing legal tech tools and AI software, or develops bespoke AI solutions with Eltemate, Hogan Lovells' legal tech brand.
