As a Senior Associate in the IP/TMT department, Joanna advises clients from a wide range of sectors on data protection, IT contracts, digital regulation, intellectual property, cybersecurity and information society services law.

On a day-to-day basis, she supports clients in drafting and negotiating a wide range of technology-driven agreements, including SaaS contracts, technology tool implementation, integration and customization agreements, on-premise software licenses, IP rights assignments, software distribution, IT consulting, and technology outsourcing agreements, among others.

Her clients include technology platforms, information society service providers, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, audiovisual businesses, and large multinational retailers.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Joanna worked at a leading international law firm specializing in intellectual property and data protection, as well as at a multinational software development company.

Joanna has served on the European Advisory Board and is currently Co-Chair of the Madrid KnowledgeNet Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the world’s largest organization dedicated to privacy. She is also a regular speaker at conferences on data protection and emerging technologies.

Supporting a major Spanish retail company in the review and negotiation of over 200 IT contracts, including a critical data centre (housing) agreement.

Leading a global project for Spain’s largest energy company to review, standardise, and optimise a wide range of IT agreements.

Advising a Spanish insurance company on drafting and negotiating key technology agreements for the acquisition, integration, and optimisation of critical tools supporting its core business operations.

Provided ongoing support on data protection and artificial intelligence matters, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation across core corporate processes for a major French bank.

Drafting agreement templates for a software solutions company specialising in claims estimation and management, enabling strategic software distribution with key partners.

Advising a global online travel platform on the negotiation of key IT agreements from a data protection and AI perspective.

Advising on a day to day basis to leaders in the technology industry, as well as to top-level information society service providers.
