Anne Salladin advises foreign and domestic clients on matters at the intersection of international business and national security, particularly in national security reviews before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and in connection with the U.S. outbound investment security program. She represents investors and companies before CFIUS across sectors including energy, life sciences, aerospace and defense, and telecommunications.

Anne served nearly 20 years in the Office of the Assistant General Counsel for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which advises the Secretary of the Treasury as CFIUS Chair. She is the only lawyer in private practice with nearly two decades of experience in this office. While at Treasury, she advised on CFIUS matters, negotiated mitigation agreements, worked with other agencies, helped develop laws and regulations, and participated in the review and investigation of over 500 transactions, including major Chinese acquisitions. She also worked on the Mexican and Asian financial crises, sovereign wealth fund matters, U.S.–Japan market access negotiations, and sovereign debt restructurings involving Argentina, Greece, and others. She served on the G-10 working group reviewing sovereign debt documentation to facilitate orderly financial crisis resolution.

In recognition of her work—particularly on national security—Anne received the Secretary's Meritorious Service Award, cited as “indispensable in helping CFIUS to protect U.S. security in dozens of complex transactions” and “a key player in U.S. efforts to secure global economic stability.”

A frequent speaker on national security, Anne has been recognized as a Leading Partner by Legal 500, named to Foreign Investment Watch's Top Global CFIUS Advisors list for five consecutive years, honored by Washingtonian as a top national security lawyer, ranked Band 2 for CFIUS by Chambers USA, and serves on ACI’s National CFIUS Advisory Council.
