Sebastian Oebels advises national and international companies on German and international structured finance transactions. He has a strong focus on traditional securitisations, significant risk transfer securitisations and other types of asset-based lending structures. In particular, Sebastian has extensive experience in advising banks, issuers and originators on securitisations backed by auto loans/leases, renewable energy (solar and heat pump systems) and digital infrastructure-related assets.

Representative experience
Advising Enpal on the first ever European public securitization of solar loan receivables, which marks the first German securitization with a tranche directly backed by a guarantee from the European Investment Fund.
Advised abcbank GmbH on the securitisation of a leasing portfolio of medium sized enterprises, refinanced through notes listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and partially guaranteed by the European Investment Fund (EIF), marking only the second non synthetic securitisation in Germany backed by an EIF guarantee.
Advised Enpal B.V. on a €300 million public securitisation of receivables arising from instalment purchase agreements for residential solar and heat pump systems, representing the first public securitisation globally to include heat pump receivables alongside photovoltaic receivables.
Advised Stellantis Bank on its first combined securitisation of approximately 66,500 German auto leases and their related vehicle residual values.
Advising Barclays Bank Ireland Plc. and Deutsche Bank AG as joint lead managers on first euro-based €640 million ABS-transaction backed by data center leases in Germany for Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses.
