"Rosie Shields is a talented associate who goes above and beyond and is also able to consider and advise on difficult issues with clarity."

Legal 500 UK 2024

Noted in Legal 500 UK as a "talented associate", Rosie has strong experience across the sector, working with a variety of clients including global asset managers, local authorities, and major developers, particularly on projects around central London.

Rosie advises on a broad range of planning related matters including planning obligations, heritage issues, compulsory purchase orders, and complicated highways agreements. When conducting due diligence, she is adept at identifying the key risks for clients, whilst ensuring pragmatism.

Paying close attention to ongoing planning reforms, Rosie is able to help clients navigate this ever-changing landscape. In particular, she has helped a number of clients enhance the value of their properties by making the most of permitted development rights, steering them through the prior approval process. Rosie also has a particular interest in ESG concerns and is an active member of the team's ESG committee.

Rosie’s pro bono practice includes providing advice to the Felix Project and the Womanity Foundation.

Rosie has undertaken secondments at BNP Paribas (as a trainee) and British Land (as an associate), learning firsthand how businesses operate.
