He supports companies in the compliant design, labelling and marketing of their products, taking into account the complex regulatory frameworks applicable in the EU and Germany. His advisory work focuses in particular on packaging law, extended producer responsibility (EPR), the responsibilities of online platforms at the interface with product safety, and consumer protection law – especially with respect to online contracts and digital business models.
In addition, Hanns‑Thilo von Spankeren advises clients on the drafting and negotiation of supply and distribution agreements as well as on the preparation of general terms and conditions for both the B2B and B2C sectors.
He studied law in Göttingen and Münster. Through his doctoral research and legal traineeship, he also gained experience in customs law and regulatory issues related to global supply chains.
