In this episode of HL PensionsPod, Senior Associates Jade Rigby and Amol Chalisgaonkar, along with Trainee Solicitor Umang Pandey, dive into part two of the series on data protection issues in the world of pensions. Since recording part one, the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has published its own Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) for the dashboard architecture, which schemes and providers may find helpful to refer to when preparing their DPIAs. This episode unpacks three key hot topics and their impact on the pensions industry: the Data (Use and Access) Bill (which received Royal Assent on 19 June 2025), the EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and of course, Artificial Intelligence (AI).
