Micaela Bostrom is a member of the Hogan Lovells Strategic Operations, Agreements and Regulation (SOAR) team. She advises on a wide variety of regulatory and commercial matters, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance and risks.

Micaela’s practice is centred on the consumer and food sectors. She helps clients navigate regulatory requirements relating to product composition, safety, labelling and advertising and marketing activities, including health and nutrition claims and HFSS restrictions. She also advises on all aspects of consumer protection law, including unfair terms in consumer contracts, cancellation rights, pre‑contract information and unfair commercial practices, such as drip pricing, fake reviews and greenwashing. Micaela guides clients through regulatory enforcement and corrective actions and has helped clients resolve issues with the Competition and Markets Authority, the Advertising Standards Authority, the Food Standards Agency and Trading Standards.

Having recently completed a secondment with a grocery retailer, Micaela uses her in-house experience to provide practical and commercial advice to clients. Her understanding of the multi-layered and complex regulatory landscape that applies to the consumer-facing industries enables her to identify and help businesses meet the challenges they face.
